Training process

Training needs analysis

If you have specific requirements regarding the training programme, we will carry out a training needs analysis for you. This will guide us on which aspects of the programme should receive greater emphasis, so that the training programme meets your specific needs.

What will you gain?

icon

Confident use of Visio - You will quickly get comfortable with the MS Visio interface, understand where key tools are located, and move through the app efficiently instead of wasting time searching for features.

icon

Choosing the right diagram - You will learn how to match diagram types and templates to your goal, making it easier to build clear process maps, visual workflows, and documentation your team can actually use.

icon

Building diagrams from scratch - You will add, edit, and connect shapes on your own, using connectors in a structured way so you can create well-organized diagrams from a blank page all the way to a finished design.

icon

Clear visual formatting - You will work with colors, styles, effects, alignment, grids, and guides, so your diagrams become cleaner, more consistent, and much easier for other people to read and follow.

icon

Business process mapping - You will practice creating flowcharts and cross-functional flowcharts to show process steps clearly, highlight dependencies, and make handoffs between roles visible and understandable.

icon

Using BPMN and annotations - You will learn BPMN shapes, ways to mark roles and responsibilities, and how to add notes and text fields, helping you build diagrams that are clear even for colleagues from other teams.

icon

Collaboration in Microsoft 365 - You will see how to share diagrams through OneDrive, Teams, and SharePoint, co-edit them with others, and prepare files for export so they are ready for wider business use.

icon

Better diagrams through practice - During hands-on tasks, you will create your own process diagram, improve an existing one, and apply best practices you can use immediately in documentation and team communication.

What are the prerequisites for participating in the training?

icon

Basic computer skills - You should feel comfortable working in Windows, opening applications, saving files, and moving through folders, so you can focus on Visio itself rather than basic computer tasks.

icon

Microsoft 365 basics - It is helpful if you know the basics of Microsoft 365 and understand how to open, save, and share files, because the training includes collaboration within that environment.

icon

Reading simple diagrams - You should be able to understand simple diagrams, charts, or process maps, so you can build your own layouts more easily, connect elements logically, and follow step relationships.

icon

Business process basics - It helps if you understand terms such as step, decision, role, and responsibility in a process, because you will translate real activities into clear and structured diagrams.
